At the age of 103, Mann Kaur received the prestigious Nari Shakti Puraskar from former President Ram Nath Kovind, recognizing her extraordinary contribution to athletics. She was also honored by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, where she warmly blessed him reflecting her inspiring spirit, humility, and lifelong dedication to excellence.
The Masters Athletics Federation of India ® (also referred to as MAFI) is the apex body for running and managing athletics for Indian Athletes 35 years of age and above who are called as masters’ athletes. MAFI functions in India as the sole representative of Asia Masters Athletics (AMA) and World Masters Athletics (WMA). MAFI is an autonomous organisation which functions according to its set constitution and bylaws. MAFI is an independent federation in India and will not be a part of or under the purview of any other organization or federation in India.
Dr. Dharam Vir Dhillon (President) and D. David Premnath (Secretary General) together provide strong and experienced leadership to the Masters Athletics Federation of India ®. They guide the federation’s vision, governance, and international affiliations with World Masters Athletics and Asian Masters Athletics. Under their stewardship, MAFI continues to promote excellence, integrity, and lifelong participation in athletics across India.
